A Plan to Protect Our Schools, Support Our Teachers, and Invest in DGF Students
At Dilworth‑Glyndon‑Felton Public Schools, every student deserves the support, tools, and opportunities to succeed — from strong academic programs to hands-on career preparation.
Like most Minnesota districts, DGF faces severe financial challenges because state funding has failed to keep pace with inflation for over two decades — leaving our funding about 19% lower per student than in 2005. Following last year’s referendum shortfall, our district was forced to make over $1,000,000 in budget cuts for the 2026–2027 school year. While we continue to be responsible stewards of public funds, we cannot cut our way to student success.
On November 3, 2026, residents will vote on a proposed $500 per-pupil operating levy. This 10-year investment will generate critical local revenue to protect class sizes, expand middle and high school learning opportunities, retain exceptional staff, and upgrade heating and cooling systems across our schools.
